Alpine geometry: A series of A-frame cabins designed with steep sloping roofs to shed snow, sitting harmoniously within the frozen landscape.

Stone Aged Cafe & Inn

The architecture prioritizes connection to nature, with the main lodge featuring a grand glass facade and red roof that acts as a beacon against the white snow. Inside, the design embraces raw materiality; exposed stone walls, rough-hewn timber columns, and cozy sleeping lofts accessed by industrial metal ladders create a warm, tactile shelter from the cold.

Mountain Solitude: A Cozy Retreat for the Modern Explorer

The design process for this winter resort was dictated by the extreme climate and the dramatic verticality of the landscape. We adopted the iconic A-frame typology not just for its aesthetic appeal, but for its functional ability to shed heavy snowfall efficiently. To balance the stark exterior environment, the interiors were conceived as warm, tactile shells, utilizing locally sourced stone masonry and raw timber structural members to create a sense of grounded protection. The spatial experience focuses on the view, with the steep rooflines framing the mountain peaks through expansive glazing, turning the landscape into the primary decorative element of the rooms.
