Farmhouse in Pashta
This eco-resort is conceived as an organic extension of its rugged hillside topography, utilizing earth-sheltered architecture and sweeping green roofs to blend seamlessly into the landscape. The design prioritizes a panoramic connection to the outdoors through expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing in both private bedroom sanctuaries and communal living lounges. The material palette is a study in warm earth tones, featuring robust local stone masonry on terraces and exterior walls, while the interiors are grounded by vibrant yellow stone flooring, rich wooden joinery, and textured lime-wash walls.
Earth-Sheltered Luxury: Where Architecture Meets the Landscape
The guiding principle for this project was "immersion through integration." Instead of imposing structures onto the site, we chose an earth-sheltered approach, allowing green roofs and robust stone retaining walls to anchor the buildings deeply into the hillside, making them appear as natural architectural outcroppings. Internally, the strategy was to dissolve boundaries. We achieved this with expansive glass facades that frame the changing light of the day—particularly the dramatic sunsets—turning the view into the primary design element. The interior material board, specifically the striking yellow stone flooring and natural cane details, was selected to echo the warmth of the sun and the surrounding earth, ensuring a continuous sensory experience from outside to inside.
