This ambitious hilltop residence is a masterclass in integrating large-scale architecture with a dramatic natural landscape. Perched on a grassy plateau, the entry level features a distinct geometric roofline and a welcoming stone-lined approach that hints at the scale beyond. The structure cascades down the steep slope in a series of tiered terraces, utilizing green roofs and infinity pools to merge the built form with the horizon and offer uninterrupted valley views. Inside, the experience is defined by atmospheric corridors where rough masonry walls and dramatic shafts of light create moments of quiet contemplation between spaces.
The Tiered Sanctuary: Merging Built Form with the Horizon
The design narrative for this residence is rooted in a response to the dramatic topography, utilizing a "hide and reveal" strategy where the modest, low-profile entrance on the plateau belies the expansive, multi-level structure cascading down the slope below. We broke the architectural mass into tiered terraces featuring green roofs and infinity pools, effectively camouflaging the building within the hillside while maximizing sunset views for every suite. Internally, the circulation is designed as an atmospheric journey, using curved stone masonry walls and strategic skylights to create a play of light and shadow that grounds the residents in the raw materiality of the site.
