The design strategy for the Center of Excellence was centered on "adaptability and narration," aiming to create a workspace that functions as both a modern design studio and a storytelling vessel for Khadi. We moved away from rigid institutional layouts, instead implementing a system of custom movable wooden screens and mobile pin-up boards that allow the open floor plate to be instantly reconfigured from collaborative zones to private workstations. Light was prioritized as a critical tool for textile work; the design integrates deep coffered skylights and track lighting to ensure color-accurate illumination throughout the studio.
